A great forum for those that still like film
Hand Made Craft Products
This is the company website of my partner, Sara, who markets unique and distinctive craft products.
York Cameras (London) Ltd
This is possibly the best Canon Pro dealer in London. The don't have a big web presence - they are a good old fashioned camera shop and all the better for it. Excellent service, good stock levels (new and used), knowledge, advice. They also sell some Nikon and Leica stuff, tripods, bags, etc. They can supply most Canon bits and pieces that big chain shops and websites cannot. They also have a fine range of L series lenses and prime lenses, from 14mm to 600mm. One of the few places you can buy good secondhand EF lenses. They also have lots of FD stuff too! Give them a personal call. Close to the British Museum in central London.
Happy Album - Netherlands
This is an interesting site, run by a friend of mine.
Fixation
A great Nikon and Canon Pro dealer, hidden on the top floor of an office block near Vauxhall Station. Highly recommended, they hire gear too as well as selling bags and lighting and tripods, etc. However, their real attraction is their service centre and DSLR sensor cleaning service.
DP Review
Possibly the best technical site around. Many a camera or lens purchase has been guided by DP Review. London based but worldwide reach....
Fred Miranda
A really useful US site for equipment reviews, especially Canon and Nikon
The Digital Picture.com
It does have a few galleries of pictures but the main attraction (of this US-based site that carries UK adverts) is its reviews of Canon EOS gear. There are also useful hints and tips including, for example, how to work out the age of your Canon lens.
EOS Magazine discussion forum
UK-orientated. EOS Magazine is an excellent journal published by Robert Scott Associates for all things Canon and EOS. The discussion forum is alway lively and useful.
EOS documentation project
Speaks for itself really - this is the place to get documentation for EOS cameras and lenses, accessories, etc
British Journal of Photography
Simply the best photographic journal there is, aimed squarely at professionals and those in the trade. There technical reviews are excellent and it's a bargain at just £2. The on-line version is worth looking at too.
Photo.net
A very comprehensive, US-based site covering a very wide range of photographic stuff, including personal portfolios, technical articles and equipment reviews.
