Canon wavers on film camera production

No surpises really, but Canon have announced that they have not decided whether to continue development of film cameras. Production of current models continues but surely it is only a matter of time?

Apparently, Net sources say that the last batch of EOS 3's have already been made but this is not official.....

May 2007 update: Canon have now ceased production of the EOS 3 body, just leaving the 1V as the sole professional film body. Sales of consumer film cameras must be at rock bottom.
